OPEN ACCESS
Inky Hands Print Studio offers open access studio rental, offering artists full access to a professional printmaking facility for independently produced projects. Artists work in a productive atmosphere alongside other contemporary printmakers. Participants should have experience in the techniques and equipment available. Technical assistance is not included in the open access studio rental program, but is available at an additional cost.
Open Access is available on an hourly, daily, weekly and monthly basis. To participate, please apply with your artistic resume and the name and contact reference for one reference. In addition, monthly renters must submit up to eight digital images of their work and a letter of intent. There are no application deadlines for any Open Access Studio Rental program. Applications may be submitted by email, mail or in person.
Rental fees must be paid in advance. Hourly and Daily Rental are subject to scheduling; please contact us in advance. Artists are required to complete their work, clean up their workspace, and leave the studio by the ending time of their rental.
Basic supplies are provided (newsprint, tape and cleaning supplies). and access to share tools (squeegees, scoop coaters, rules and cutting mats). Paper, screens, plates, inks, emulsion and reclaimer must be obtained by the artist. (hourly and daily rental includes use os some additional materials).
there is a one hour compulsory induction to the studio, booking details, studio use and health and safety are part of your induction. This will be required during your first hour of rental at Inky Hands.
Rates
3 hour sessions must be booked at a time. One session of 3 hours is enough time for prep, printing and clean up time.
3 day cancelation notice, if there is no cancelation, there is no refund.
